We’ll give a shot at a prayer that deals with Blessing our Enemies. Feel free to adapt for your own use with your own thoughts and feelings.
Thank you for this day, we give you our praise for all the good things happening in our lives. Give us the strength and perseverance to get through the day with a smile and a kind word for someone who needs it. Maybe even to my own soul as I hold myself accountable for things too. Forgive me Lord for feeling upset toward those who have wronged me and am holding feelings of unforgiveness … wanting them to experience what I feel inside. What I need is your help to bless those who hurt me, even though I don’t really want to. I still feel pissed off, and it’s hard to want to wish nice things. But I know that is what you want me to do, and I know if I do, that I will blessed somehow…someway. All I ask is to make sure when you bless me that I see it, recognize it, and appreciate it when it happens. I don’t want to miss your gifts to me, and it’s important that I gain an understanding of this promise of loving our enemies as you have written. Bring a new peace in my heart so I can go through my day with some level of balance and harmony, not the usual anxietal roller coaster ride.
So here it goes…bless those who have hurt me intentionally or not, help them see what they need to learn in this situation, help us all grow in understanding of the consequences of our spoken words and behaviors.
Lord, bless my family, loved ones and friends, give them the strength they need this day. Heal them and grant them mercy when they need it. We also pray for those who have no one to pray for them, may they see or feel your presence in their midst. Shower us all with your Grace and Favor, may you work through us so we can be a blessing to others.
We ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
Have a blessed day.
