Hello to whoever is reading this.  It’s been 3 years since I have published anything here. I kept this web site in hopes that I do something with it.

As I turned 50 this year, I have realized we are all so fragile.  The more we connect online, the more we actually disconnect from each other.  Life today is nothing like the neighborhood I grew up in where we were watched by multiple mothers.  We type things in a keyboard that we would never say to someone in person (in many cases).  And it seems it is worst with strangers, people make the most critical, judgmental comments to strangers.  What we have around us today (loved ones, jobs, relationships) are not guaranteed tomorrow. Things are not always the same.  Our lives can be shifted around in a very quick instant.

So, this is my effort to shed light on some things you may not have seen before. I will be sharing new types of information beyond just stories. I have spent many hours reading scripture and applying it to my life and how I live. Most of the people  I know have never read the Bible.  Who has the time?  We get bombarded with so much information every day that it’s almost impossible to sit down and read. Personally, I struggle sitting down to read a book lately.

But don’t worry, I’ll still share funny life stories.  I have a few in my back pocket now. You will definitely get some laughs at my expense. But I will also be writing out prayers and scripture and how to possibly interpret it for yourself. And if it offends you, just know it is not my intention.  I just want to help us all live better, more fruitful lives.

Blessings to you this holiday season. Let’s try to be a little easier about things, a little gentler…with ourselves and each other  As I observe crazy driving and how we treat others while we all try to “get” somewhere important, we could all use a little more grace around us.

In the words of Paul, the apostle who wrote 13 books in the New Testament – May our peace giving God be with you all! Amen.
